PlayStation Players Score Marvel’s Wolverine a 97/100

Now that Marvel’s Wolverine has launched, PlayStation Store user ratings are pouring in and clashing with the review scores.

Marvel’s Wolverine did not have a strong pre-launch period, as many critics rated the game unfavorably. Currently, it holds a Metascore of 77 based on 117 critic reviews. However, the game has received positive ratings on the PlayStation Store, resulting in a score that doesn’t match the game’s pre-launch reception.

Wolverine’s User Ratings Conflict with Review Scores

Spotted by Forbes, if you head to the PlayStation Store and check out the Marvel’s Wolverine page, you will see that the game sits at a user rating of 4.84 stars with 6,400 reviews at the time of writing. This means a vast majority of the players have given the game 5/5 stars. Scaled to a 100-point scale, that jumps to 96.8 or 97/100, which is much higher than the 77/100 Metascore the game received.

However, players should note that these are still early hours on the first day of release; the scores are subject to change as time goes on. The players are able to leave a rating after the purchase, they don’t have to complete the game to provide a score.
